In recent years, ATAM has made a commitment to eliminate solvent based liquid ink in pad printing processes. The results of this initiative were soon evident, thanks to the elimination of the pad printing plates washing machine. In 2017 we purchased 800 litres of nitrocellulose thinners, an amount that was to fall to 200 litres in 2018 until reaching a figure of zero in 2019 and 2020. This means we have both eliminated ambient emissions of hydrocarbons and substances that are harmful to health, while also reducing risks related to fire.
