CIRCULAR POWER CONNECTORS FOR EVERY APPLICATION

ATAM’S M8 and M12 circular connectors, also known as circular interconnects, are multi-pin electrical connectors widely used in various power and data transfer applications.

In order to meet the needs of its customers, the Company offers both male and female circular connectors in a cable entry version for cable self-assembly or complete with moulded cable if the project so requires it. M8-type circular connectors are available with 3 or 4 poles, while the M12-type models are available with 3, 4, 5, or 8 poles.

All the circular connectors by ATAM offer up to the IP 67 protection class and are certified and in compliance with IEC 60529. When correctly assembled, this ensures the reliable performance of the circular connectors in the presence of dust and when the product is submerged in water.

ERGONOMIC CIRCULAR POWER CONNECTORS

The straightforward ergonomic design of ATAM’s circular connectors ensures easy assembly and disassembly. The moulded connectors with cable are overmoulded in polyurethane (TPU) for excellent protection against oils and chemical agents; thus, the risk of surface contamination from foreign bodies is greatly reduced.

All ATAM’s circular connectors have metal lock nuts. However, the moulded cable versions also come equipped with a secure anti-vibration locking system, reducing the risk of lost or intermittent contacts due to vibrations. The shielded versions are available with a cable screen connected to the lock nut or the central pin, providing additional flexibility to meet every customer’s need.

Finally, ATAM has a wide selection of cable types in stock and offers the possibility to use and incorporate special cables on request. A full range of male and female receptacles in plastic or metal, in a variety of configurations with 3, 4, 5, and 8 poles, makes the circular connectors offered by ATAM even more complete.
